Watch out for this Stile.
With the River Wye as low as it is at the moment we forget that during winter floods the power of the water is such that it does over time change it’s banks by erosion and that is exactly what it has done on the ROWAC Club stretch on upper Benhall at the third field boundary at a catch called the Old Hut by salmon anglers. Bank erosion has left the stile hanging in the air and is unsafe to use. The Club will resolve the issue soon but in the meantime DON’T USE IT! |
