Only a few days after member Steve Boswell took a salmon, a rare event in itself this year, he has been busy again.

Fly fishing using the same tactics, intermediate leader and a size 10 Bann Special he took an 8lb fish from The Brook on Weirend. Steve tells me the Salmon was starting to show it’s spawning colours but nevertheless gave a good account of itself in a spirited fight. He said he was very pleased to meet it! 

This brings the number of salmon caught this year on Club waters to 4, a miserable total to be sure but taken in a year when alas most beats have caught nothing at all.
