Dear All,

Two lakes at a beauty spot known as Cannop Ponds in the Forest of Dean could be drained and the landscape returned to how it was before the industrial revolution.  The ponds contain a huge amount of bird and other wildlife, and are also home to fish and fishing that is provided by a local angling club.

The Forestry Commission says that the dams at Cannop Ponds need to be replaced or removed – because they may not prevent flooding in the future due to climate change.
