Members turned out on three cold days in January to undertake the vital work and coppice some of the willows which threaten to take over our swims on this valued stretch of water. Sixteen members were involved in doing the work over the three days. The work was undertaken in the main with hand tools with Mike Evans the Head Bailiff bringing the chainsaw to finish off on the last day. The work unlocks some fabulous water for Members which has not been fished for years and I’m sure that the swims will be very popular with both coarse and salmon members and an easy walk from the car park or Wilton Bridge.
