Club Bailiff Rob Leather proves that there is more than one way to catch the Wye’s beautiful barbel. Rather than sitting behind two rods pointing skyward with two feeders in the middle of the River Rob chose to fish in faster water with centrepin and float tackle. This fine fish weighing 7lb came from the Club’s water at Benhall. With the colder weather on the way float fishing with stick float or waggler will bring some good fish to those prepared to give it a go.
