Wye desperate for rain.

News reports tell us that the rainfall for April was13% of normal and the River Wye is showing its bones. There are shades of the disastrous 1976 in these pictures when the Wye became a series of puddles during one of the hottest summers on record. The impact on the fish in the Wye was significant and proved to be a tragedy for salmon. There is rain forecast for late this week but there needs to be a deluge for it to have any effect on current river  levels.
