Despite heroic efforts on the part of local members of Ross Angling Club as yet not a single salmon has been caught by Club members in the 3 weeks since the season started. In 2019 the last year where normality reigned members caught three salmon on the first day!
Because of Covid regulations only Local anglers have been able to fish but despite putting in tremendous effort at what should be the prime time for salmon fishing on Ross Angling Club waters.
To make this dismal story worse only seven salmon have been caught over the whole length of the River Wye.
Under the relaxation of Covid Lockdown from Monday members from the rest of the country are allowed to travel to the Wye to fish so it is hoped that salmon angling fortunes will improve.
