Simple automatic digital phosphate checker.

As part of a catchment wide programme Ross Angling Club are involved in checking phosphate levels in the River Wye.

The Club take weekly samples of water in the Riverside Park and measure these against a legal limit of 0.03 milligrams per Litre of river water. Again this week the water failed the test with a reading of 0.24 milligrams per litre. These numbers may seem insignificant but 0.24 mg/litre is 8 times the limit it should by law be tracking.

There are many groups up and down the Wye; Environmentalists, Kayakers, Wild Swimmer and many more who are concerned about pollution such as this caused in part by changes in farming practices in the Wye Valley.
