Ross Angling Club have taken the decision to suspend all angling activity on their stretches of the River Wye. The Salmon angling season has hardly started and with the amount of rain that has fallen over the winter anglers have only just been able to commence fishing because of river height. But with the Governments announcements on Monday all that had to change and the Committee of the Club quickly announced that all angling is suspended for the duration of a 3 week period ending on 14th April when it is expected that the Government will make further announcements.
Further to the decision on angling the Club have also decided that all work parties when members repair infrastructure and trim bushes on the bank will also cease because this will run counter to the guidance given by the Government.
