Member John Cheyne scored his personal best Perch from the Wye on Ross AC’s Lower Benhall stretch in the last week of the Coarse fishing season.
The handsome giant fish weighed in at 3lb 14oz and came to a slow fished lure on a Ned Rig. John first impression was he’d hooked a big chub but was both pleased and astounded to see the large perch break the surface. The fish measured 46cm or just over 18 inch in old money.
So members you’ve got just a few days left try to get out there if the River can stop in its banks for long enough.
